Greece expressed support for the ongoing humanitarian pause in Gaza between Israel and Hamas and called for its extension on Monday, Anadolu Agency reports. Gerapetritis highlighted the need to increase the capacity of humanitarian aid entering Gaza and swiftly restore essential facilities to normal operations. Two British-Palestinian men have described their fears for their families in Gaza amid Israel’s siege on the territory. Mohammed Awad, from Cambridge, told the PA news agency his “entire family” lived in Jabalya in northern Gaza. The Israeli captives released from Gaza were not exposed to torture or ill-treatment by the Palestinian groups, Israeli media reported on Monday, Anadolu Agency reports. The Israeli Channel 12 said it met with a number of relatives of the Israeli captives released by the Hamas group in Gaza who confirmed that they were not exposed to any form of torture or bad treatment. An Egyptian intelligence official has said Israel repeatedly ignored warnings that “something big” was being planned by the Palestinian resistance. Turkish lawmakers will decide on Sweden’s NATO accession protocol as soon as possible, Turkiye’s parliament speaker said yesterday. Numan Kurtulmus told Anadolu that they will send the accession protocol to the Foreign Affairs Commission when he gets back to Turkiye from the Czech capital Prague. “I hope that it will come to the General Assembly … as soon as possible and our deputies will make their decisions,” he said after attending the Second Parliamentary Summit of the Crimea Platform in Prague.
